I found the phone number for the person in charge of the Quicksilver new accounts, but they wont answer me.

I hope someone can help shed some light on this one.
I researched for a couple of weeks to find the number for Quicksilver new accounts. I want to open up a surf shop here in my town and I need inventory of surfer style clothing. I found that Roxy, and Quicksilver are both the same company and I found the number to the person who is in charge of new accounts. I have emailed the new accounts division 3 times in the last 2 weeks and found 2 phone numbers to the lady who is in charge of opening new accounts for small businesses to use their products. Everytime I call it I get the same womens voicemail telling me to leave a detailed message. I get no response from them from either the email or phone. Does anyone know what I should do?? What to wear during a first time surf lesson?

I’m going to Hawaii in 1 week and want to take a surf lesson. I’ve never surfed in my life! Just wondering, should I buy some surf clothes to wear BEFORE i go to hawaii, or do they provide attire during these lesson? (of course I have a bathing suit, but I’m assuming I need one of those surf shifts or board shorts?)

You could wear different things while surfing. Since it is your first time and you will be taking lessons then the instructor may provided you with a wet suit. If he does not I would recommend wear board shorts/bikini bottom (normal bating suit trunks/bikini bottom should be fine on your first time surfing). But I do recommend getting a rash guard because when you are learning the Pop-up in surfing you can get a rash from rubbing your upper body along the board in attempts to stand up (you can buy a rash guard almost at any surf shop or beach supplier store). If it is only your first time surfing don’t go and invest in a wet suit of your own right away wait till after your lesson to see how much you enjoy surfing ( they can be expensive) all so take into account how often you will be going surfing (there is no need to buy an expensive wet suit if you will not be surfing too often).

End the day safely. hey i am going surfing tomorro and i am on my period i started on tuesday so it wont be too heavy now but i cant not go surfing cos this is the most improtant weekend out my year. so dont say dont go. i have never used a tampon before as i hae never need to? what do i do? shall i use one? i dont wear a wetsuit i wear board shorts and rash vest will the blood be seen though my green boardshorts? what shall i do? thanx sarah any advice will be great =)

So this summer im moving from Southern California to Missouri, and I’m wondering if popular clothing styles/brands are different out there. I mostly wear popular Surf/Skate brands like Quiksilver, DC, Hurley, Fox, Volcom, Element, Vans, Ect. Will these brands be unheard of, or will I fit right in? And if these aren’t popular brands which ones are?

Well since we don’t have an ocean, not too many people wear those surf brands. However, I have seen people wear DC, Hurley, Fox etc.. but they tend to be the true “skaters”. It really depends on what “group” you belong to. People here wear anything from Abercrombie-Armani. Just wear whatever you like, you don’t have to buy a whole new wordrobe to “fit in”.

Opening a franchise! HELP!?

My uncle in Poland has opened up multiple mall galleries around Poland and he was willing to give my cousin and I a space to open up a clothing boutique. But we started thinking that we’d rather franchise something from America and bring it to Poland. My first thought was Hollister because the Surfing, laid-back style hasn’t been yet introduced in Poland and I think it’d grow tremendously. But I just found out Hollister doesn’t franchise. I’m also thinking of some other stores such as Forever 21. But I truly don’t know where to get started and I know buying out a franchise is pretty expensive, we only have a couple thousand saved up right now. Would it be smarter to just buy a lot of clothing from a store such as Forever 21 and get it to Poland and start selling it. Is that even possible, or do I need a franchise?
